"Wooden Bridge"

this afternoon i and my friend--kid servant- went to lead the kid fellowship in group 4 of the ministry territory in my church. the location is in the other side of a river. actually there's a road to reach that place which takes 15 minutes walking but if we cross the river it takes only few minutes to get there. so, we always take the latter. Nevertheless, the road we have to go through to reach the other side of the river is very challenging. there is no bridge to cross the river, only a piece of wood that fell down because of the storm which is used as the bridge to link one side to the other side of the river. the surface of the wood is not flat as it is wood so we have to be extremely careful to cross unless we lose our balance and fall down. but what really surprises me is when i saw the children walk along the wood with one hand carrying their bike and the other hand holding the handle of the wood (they make handle on right side of the wood to enable us crossing). it is very amazing.... i took two pictures of this moment with my VGA mobile cam.. here are the pictures;

the bridge (in Naikolan) that i and my friend cross to get to the kid house

the boy is carrying his bike while walking on this wood

you know i always feel nervous every time i cross this wood but this little boy can freely cross this wood even if he doesnt bring his bike, he can cross without holding the handle.. amazing, right?

when i consider this thing i realize that experience makes someone expert. i believe it isnt the first time he crosses this wood.. i dont know how many times but if it makes him walk so freely then i know crossing wood has become his life routine. he's been accustomed.

the lesson i can learn from this moment is that we can conquer our fear if we try and strike it regularly.. i believe the first time this boy crossed this wood he might have been afraid but he kept walking till the fear disappeared from him. so, whatever makes u fear, face it.. don't run away. the challenge makes your life attractive.. it is just the wooden bridge..pass it and then you'll never be afraid anymore :)

Psalm 23:4 "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You [are] with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me."
