A simple Story to tell about Flamboyan Tree

One thing I love from November and December is when the Flamboyan tree blooms. Flamboyan is its Indonesian name but Kupang people usually name it 'pohon sepe' or sepe tree.
Flamboyan Tree

I love this tree so much on rainy season. the flowers are the mixture of orange and red and 'we' (me and my friends) usually call it 'Sakura from Kupang'.. Lol.
If Japanese have Sakura, we have Flamboyan tree in Kupang which is as beautiful as Sakura.

When I walk home after school along the street where Flamboyan trees grow, I feel like it's no matter how far the road I wanna walk.

This tree grows along the road to my house. This tree has accompanied me for some stories. One of the stories is when I walked home together with the one I call 'the green'. It was a beautiful moment coz we were walking together after raining so the road was wet and it was so cool, then the red Flamboyan adorned our road with their beauty. I wonder that moment would happen again..perhaps I should wait till another decade..lol.

yup...that's all my story today.. just a simple memory about flamboyan and my love journey..
At least I have something in my life to retell and that can make me smile when I recall...

  1. the Flamboyan tree is like sakura indeed. lol. Does it emit sweet smell? :P I hope that tree will live longer.

the trees which saw me grow up are the guava tree adjacent to our kitchen and the avocado tree infront of our main door. I miss them. My father cut them several years ago because they bugged the neighbors and they are very very old. My grandmother.
