What's Special in Saying Goodbye to 2012 and Welcoming 2013?!

Nothing stays the same... that's finally what I learned so far when I was about to leave 2012 and entered 2013. Many things happened, creating its own story in 2012 and bringing my questions about life come nearly to the answers. Well, life must go on.. what has stayed in the past will always be there but we, we are walking and never going back.

yeah, and before all things went over without any foot prints left, I would like to keep some best part here. Lets see...

1. Christmas
We had a totally different Christmas in 2012 with Santa picking all the presents for Jesus from our Sunday school kids houses. The presents were later brought to the orphanage as Christmas presents for the kids there.

all team ready for visiting kids house with Santa, we were split into 3 teams to the 3 ministry territory
I and my friends in team 2.hohoho, our santa looks kinda weird..lol
opppss she is afraid... no no...help me!!!!!
all the collected presents...fiuh, can you guess how many are they???
lunch with Nasi Kuning at Barata.. so exhausted but we're all happy!
After a visit from santa, we came to the most waited day by all children.. yes, it's Christmas!!!!
we had a funny drama presented by our children and of course Santa giving present for the thirteen diligent kids in a year.

Christmas day...

Christmas is coming soon but the kids are wondering about what they would get this Christmas, is it the same or there will be another surprise??
look how gorgeous Cynthia is! perfect for her cast as a beautiful girl
it's Rio, he performed as new shoes and clothes, desired by all kids in the world when Christmas time
no one knows that it's Kinar...yeah coz her face is covered by this snowman costume..lol K Ady has worked hard for creating this costume..two thumbs up!
and the choco Tasya is so cute inside her Beng-Beng costume... lol
Holly Night dancers... cool..
Santa with Nongkes who got a present for her diligence
sunday school teachers pose before cleaning up the room... big smile girls!
After Christmas with Sunday school I had a day off to take a rest. and then on Sunday 23rd we went to the orphanage to distribute the kids present.
There's actually a good story behind the reason why we came to this orphanage. I admittedly didn't make any plan to come here. My first destination is 'Kasih Agape' orphanage but when going to observe the place K Oskar and I were lost and the story of lost eventually brought us here in Syalom orphanage, which was the same orphanage K Oskar had ever spent his childhood about 20 years ago. well, God is so good.. He's turned our first plan to His own plan. if not, then K Oskar wouldn't have shared his great testimony to me, right?!

to share what you have with those who are in need is a bliss! that's what our Sunday school kids learned this year :)
So, I'm done with Sunday school..now it's time for me myself. I was going to celebrate new year in Dili, East Timor. Have any of you ever visisted East Timor?! It used to be one province of Indonesia but later it separated from Indonesia in 1999 and  became a new country. What makes me 'hadomi' (read: love) Dili is all because of its wonderful beaches and Christo Rei, A Statue of Christ that people say only exists in two countries; Brazil and East Timor. But I will post to you about Christo Rei in details in the next post.

So, it's Dili with this beautiful beaches and beautiful scenery...

It's Largo De Lasidere which means A park in Lasidere. It's right in front of Palazio, the governor office. This park has view right to the beach and is provided by free wifi (hot spot area) so you can enjoy the view while having online.
White Sand Beach-Pantai Pasir Putih, the beach near Christo Rei
Lunch with @nuri_urpu and K Geesty Tamonob at Timor Plaza
another lunch on New Year Eve at 'Manek Sabor" (means: delicious taste)
it's a very beautiful place to visit. there are 3 lakes and a small church on the top of the hill and a statue of Pope Paul II as he ever came to Dili and lead a Mass. the statue was made directly by Italian. but, I forget the name of this place..sorry..
here's the place where pope Paul II led a Mass in Dili
Another special thing about Dili is the lights at night and Christmas decoration along the road. There are so many lights, Christmas tree and of course cote, where Mary and Joseph laid baby Jesus.

What can never be forgotten forever in my life is the wonderful fellowship on New Year Eve and Holy communion with the family of Christ in Dili.. Even though the pastor was preaching in Tetun but some songs are Indonesian so I could still enjoy..and THANK GOD for k Ryo who's been so kind interpreting to me and k Gesty along the fellowship.

meaning: lets worship the LORD (anyone knows the meaning or wanna correct it? please comment...)

after Sunday service
after New year eve fellowship.. closing 2012 and welcoming 2013 with prayer.. what a moment!
I know I should thank God so much for the year 2012 with its own story.. God has been so merciful to me and I believe the same God in Christ will always lead me in 2013.

Good bye 2012... Welcome 2013...
I walk step by step forward  and never regret anything in the past.
