Fulbright Notification

After waiting quite long for my Fulbright notification, I finally got an email from the committee. I know I didn't make it since July 2013 when accidentally reading one of the successful candidate's status on Facebook. He is my Senior High school friend. So, it is not a surprise anymore when I read this email;

Dear Ms. Haniva Yunita Leo,

A preliminary review of your recent application for the 2014 Fulbright Ph.D Program has been now made by a panel of Indonesian and American representatives on behalf of the American Indonesian Exchange Foundation. We regret to inform you that the panel is unable to include your application among those selected for further consideration.

Your interest in the 2014 Fulbright Ph.D Program is greatly appreciated, and we wish you every success in your future endeavors. We would encourage you to reapply next year, if you are still interested in participating in this program.

Well, it is what it is.. I have promised to myself that I will never quit struggling for the scholarship. The LORD knows what is the best for me. My part is to try, the rest is in God's hand. I believe there's a purpose for every failure in my life. One day I will realize why I should fail first.. I believe that all things work together for good. That is His promise and it is enough for me. it's enough. =)

Glory be to God alone!!

"Hot Blooded Woman" Well, I just finished reading a manhwa (Korean manga) that has really stolen all my attention. i ever read it some years ago when i just entered university. Recently i have been curious again with this manhwa so i decided to download it. this manhwa is very amusing.. i bet ypu will laugh loudly like a crazy one and forget all the pain when you read this story.. so just try! After reading, a crazy idea came to my mind; what if this manhwa was made into a drama, who would star it? so, here is my own consideration who is more suitable to play the characters of "Hot blooded woman"; 1. the main character Park Sin Uoo would be very perfect for Lee Min Hoo. i ever thought of Kim Hyun Joong but later i made up my mind as Kim Hyun Joong would be better playing as an angel.. yup, he's not suitable for being Sin Uoo.. :)   2. Kang Ha Ji would be suitable for Moon Geun Young. I felt kinda difficult to find a korean actress for Ha Ji as this gi

When God says 'Not Yet' (again)

 Surrender.. this is the only word that best describes my feeling today. The disappointment might have taken place yesterday but today God has turned it into surrender. I got a new email yesterday from the New Zealand embassy telling me that my scholarship application was not accepted yet. Here's the mail... Dear Haniva, Thank you for your recent application for a scholarship and interest in undertaking post-graduate studies in New Zealand. Although the number of scholarship places for Indonesia has increased, so have the number of applications, and it was challenging for us to have to select only a limited number of these from many often strong applications. Easter (7 words on the cross)

Today the Christians all over the world celebrate the most important day of our faith story ever after. Why i say it’s the most important  day? Coz i cannot imagine if Christ did not substitute me and you, we can surely know where we’re going today.. “ETERNAL DEATH” i can say it for sure... Praise God MY LORD did it for me, for you and all of us not when we know HIM yet when we were in the darkness..when we were still captivated by this world, HE came and sacrificed HIS LIFE just to set me and you free. So, in this remarkable day i wanna share a little bit what i’ve learnt during the 7 weeks of passion until today. The great lessons i learn are from the 7 words of Jesus on the cross and the greatest redemption He did on the cross. The seven words on the cross I would never ever imagine if i were in Christ position, hanging on the cross, tortured, got mocked by the rulers, what would be the best words i say if i were hanging on the cross?
