Purity (it's a must)

Have you ever kissed your boyfriend or girlfriend? This question sounds silly for you coz it’s a common thing to do. We will kiss people that we love, we see actress and actor kiss on a movie and it all has been planted in our mind that it’s a common thing to do. Nothing’s wrong with kissing.

People wont laugh at you if you kiss your girl or boy but they will insult you when they know you have never been kissed. I ever read a novel that tells about a story on a girl who got frustrated just because she’s been 17 but never been kissed by any boy and has not got a boyfriend. I believe the story like this is not found only in novels but also in our every day life.

I personally have my own perspective on kissing. You might read this post and after that make a conclusion that i’m too extreme but for me it’s a must if you don't want to regret your young days. what can make us different to this world if the way we think is in accordance to this world?! Nothing makes us different.  So to be different is to act different. If this world says “kissing is not a part of purity” I say “keeping your first kiss for your future spouse is a part of keeping your purity”.

Doing things different probably makes you become an alien. Nevertheless, if you’re accidentally reading this post and think the same, i wanna say “welcome to alien’s world!” LOL.. i’m teasing.. actually what i’m gonna say is you’re not alone coz the are still (maybe) very few people holding firmly  this principle. In order to convince you that you’re not alone, this time i’d like to introduce you a famous good- looking actor that recently has impressed me a lot and also become a reason why i’m writing this post. His name is Kirk Cameron. He starred an inspiring movie titled “FIREPROOF”.  If you haven't watched this movie, i insist you to watch. :)

What’s special about Kirk Cameron??? Actually it’s about an astonishing fact behind the movie “FIREPROOF”. In that movie he is a husband of Catherine (Erin Bethea), a hospital worker who hates him and wants a divorce. Caleb (his name in this movie) is a talented and dedicated fire captain with a slew of off-the-clock problems. In short, their almost broken marriage eventually gets saved and restored by God. In the end of the story, there is a scene when Caleb kissed his wife. What really surprising me is that the woman Kirk kissed was not “Erin Bethea” but his genuine wife. Wow..how could that be? It is because “Kirk Cameron refuses to kiss any woman other than his wife. Filmmakers had to dress Cameron's wife as the wife character”.

Why? Isn’t it something that always happens in film? People might think that it’s just an acting and probably Kirk’s wife wont be jealous. The main reason here is not what’s common or not but the principle to keep the purity. As one of the children of God who becomes celebrity, Kirk has given us a great example that keeping a purity is a must. Fame and money cannot even attract his focus from Jesus coz all things bewitch him is only the Word of God.

1 timothy 4:12 says: “let none despite your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith and in purity.”
It says be an example in purity. How can we give example if the way we date is like all the children of world do? Nothing’s different. :/

Kirk has proved us that though not so many people do this way, there’re still few people who will stand firmly in their principle to keep their purity including “not kissing other girls/boys except their wife or husband”. As the consequence, the world will mock them for being so “alien” but it wont fear them.

I don't force anybody to adapt my “queer” thought but if you are one of the aliens i’ll joyfully tell you that you’re not alone. Stay firmly in your principle! :)

Keep ur purity,

Stay blessed,
Haniva
